NSA Rugby Team Defeats the Champion

In the final round of the autumn stage of the national rugby championship, the team of NSA "Vasil Levski" defeated the reigning champions, "Balkan Cats" (Berkovitsa). The team from the foothills of Kom had remained unbeaten for three years, but this time the Cats were outplayed by the motivated and strong lineup of NSA.

Despite low temperatures and challenging field conditions, the students prevailed over the champions in a hard-fought match full of technical play, winning 18:14. NSA maintained the initiative throughout the game and achieved the long-sought victory against the best team in the country so far. During the autumn half-season, the team from the Sports Academy not only triumphed over the champion but also defeated "Lokomotiv" (Sofia), last season's Bulgarian Cup holder.

In the provisional standings, NSA holds third place, trailing "Balkan Cats" and "Yantra" (Gabrovo) and ahead of "Valyatsite" (Pernik) and "Lokomotiv" (Sofia).
