In the rapid chess championship (with 10 to 60 minutes per player), 398 competitors participated, and the title was won by Vladimir Fedoseev (Slovenia). In the blitz championship (up to 10 minutes per player) with 368 participants, Jorden Van Foreest (Netherlands) emerged victorious. In the "Fischer Random" championship (with 960 different starting positions for the pieces), which had 142 participants, Fedoseev triumphed again.

The "Fischer Random" tournament also included seven referees (among all the arbiters pictured at the championships), one of whom was the international arbiter and head of the "Chess" department at NSA – Senior Assist. Prof. Dr. Radislav Atanasov.
