Triumph for the Zamfirov Siblings at the Snowboard World Championships

Brother and sister became world champions together in snowboard at the U23 Youth World Championships held in Zakopane, Poland. Tervel Zamfirov – a second-year student at NSA, and Malena Zamfirova triumphed in the mixed team event.

In the final, the two defeated the Czech Republic’s first team, having previously overcome Poland. The other two Bulgarian teams – Petar Gergyovski/Anita Raycheva and Georgi Karadzhinov/Bilyana Zamfirova – finished in 11th and 19th place respectively.

This marks the third gold medal for Tervel Zamfirov at the championship, following his victories in the parallel slalom and the parallel giant slalom. In the same disciplines, Malena earned silver medals.
