Continuing the academic leadership’s policy of active collaboration and interaction with municipal authorities, the Rector of the National Sports Academy, Prof. Krasimir Petkov, and Vice-Rector Assoc. Prof. Hristo Andonov held a meeting with the Mayor of Kuklen Municipality, Maria Belcheva, and the Deputy Mayor responsible for sports and youth activities, Staniliya Stamenova, a world canoeing champion and NSA graduate.

Rector Prof. Krasimir Petkov shared the Academy's experience in implementing various activities in partnership with municipalities across the country. The guests were introduced to the educational and sports facilities, toured the renovated athletics hall, and visited the Educational and Olympic Center. They expressed their admiration and stated their desire for the municipality to present the National Sports Academy to the youth of Kuklen and the surrounding region by organizing a special visit to the NSA campus.

“Meeting the achievements of the Academy will inspire the children. Many of them are actively involved in sports. Our sports clubs operate at full capacity,” said Mayor Maria Belcheva, highlighting the success of judo, basketball, football, and karate clubs, with local judokas even participating in international championships.

“It is always a pleasure for us to organize such visits, so children can connect with the history of sports, spark their interest, and find motivation to engage in sports,” confirmed Prof. Krasimir Petkov, emphasizing the Academy’s readiness.

The discussions also addressed opportunities for promoting sports, collaboration with schools and sports clubs in the municipality, and expert support from NSA to enhance and develop the sports calendar. The agreed objectives and specific activities will be formalized in a cooperation agreement between Rector Prof. Krasimir Petkov and Mayor Maria Belcheva.
