Second Partner Meeting for the "Sport in Art" Project – Leon, Spain

Published on 30 June 2024

On June 19 and 20 this year, the partners in the "Sport in Art" project gathered in the city of Leon, Spain, for their second face-to-face meeting. The project is implemented with the support of the EU Erasmus + programs. The host of the meeting was the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education at the University of Leon. All partners participated with their representatives - experts in the field of sports, arts, and higher education. Participants included representatives from the University of Leon, NSA - Sofia, Charles University - Prague, and the National Association Cultures du Monde - France.

The meeting was led by the team from the National Sports Academy, with Professor Kiril Andonov as the head, in his capacity as the coordinating institution. Assistant Professor Milena Tarnichkova and Irina Radevska, head of the CMPD, also took part in the discussions.

The partners conducted a detailed review of the work done during the first project period (out of a total of three stages), examining all documents developed to present the joint master's program "Sports-Stage Performances," in which each partner has contributed both to content development and with comments to achieve the highest quality of materials. The evaluation report on the quality and expected impact of the program, prepared by experts from the National French Association Cultures du Monde, was also discussed.

On the second day of the meeting, the activities planned for the next project period - the academic year 2024/2025 - were reviewed. The pilot training for all twelve disciplines is planned with serious coordination and unified teaching and learning requirements. Along with the training activities, which will also be publicly demonstrated with open access to video recordings at the end of the next academic year, the second period of the project also provides for the preparation for the creation of a student stage performance dedicated to Planet Earth.

One of the important conclusions from the meeting in Leon was the achieved consensus and cooperation among partners from different countries of the European Union, as well as the sense of personal responsibility of each partner towards the common result.
